Citizens should be directly involved in recommending open ways that the government might provide for the general Welfare of the United States because of the overlap between collaboration and funding. Treasury Department should have an easy to find suggestion program that anyone can submit ideas to. The suggestion program should allow for awards which could be a percentage of the first year's cost savings. Awards would only be given to suggestions that are approved and amount is based on a small percentage of the savings (I have seen 3%-25% in various programs)so government is saving funding and most suggestions... more »
I don't know if this is the correct DEpt. to suggest this to, but maybe the government should outlaw Adjustible rate mortgages and force the banks to convert all adjustible rate mortgages to "Fixed rate mortgages at the rate that is currently in force as of Jan. 1,2010.

The housing market needs to fall and prices need to be realigned with what the population is earning. Although prices seem like they've fallen quite a bit already, this is only true if you are comparing them to what they were at the height of the boom.
