Federal Tax Return Data of residents should be made available directly to city tax departments. At present this information is only available in Ohio at least through agencies such as RITA with lobbying power.
Allow full search of every check written by the Treasury, searchable by date, department, district, and authorizing law.
Obviously some expenditures would need to be aggregated for security or privacy reasons, but this very concept has already been implemented by banks and credit card companies for personal accounts.

I don't know if this is the correct DEpt. to suggest this to, but maybe the government should outlaw Adjustible rate mortgages and force the banks to convert all adjustible rate mortgages to "Fixed rate mortgages at the rate that is currently in force as of Jan. 1,2010.
